Hidden Doorway

On a side street in Tucson's old section, El Presidio, I found a doorway to a home that was set back from the street with no walkway leading to it. Apparently another entrance is used, because lights were on in the home. It looked like a cool refuge from the hot midday sun. 20" x 16" acrylic painting, # 5 in a doorway series.

This is another of Tucson's intriguing doorways in the old section called El Presidio, founded by the Spaniards before England sent settlers to the east coast. The once-walled settlement is in the shadows of Tucson's modern "skyscrapers." 20" x 16" acrylic painting.
